Welcome to the World of Caravan Puppets!
At Caravan Puppets, we enjoy spreading the magic of puppetry. With over 25 years of experience, we’ve been captivating audiences with our love for storytelling and our drive to inspire creativity in kids. From school assemblies to library events and private parties, we design shows and workshops that are not only engaging and educational, but also incredibly fun. Our goal is to create a magical experience that will stay with your young audience long after the curtains close.
Our puppets and programs are designed not just to be relatable to children, but approachable! We purposely use found and household materials in our puppets and often point out to audiences how the puppets are made. We encourage children to create puppets and skits at most every performance. We consider it a job well done if a child leaves our show thinking “I can do that!”. Fostering creativity is our main goal!

History of Caravan Puppets
Caravan Puppets was founded by Jonathan Keezing over 20 years ago with a passion for storytelling and a commitment to empowering children’s creativity. The company was born from Jonathan’s early experiences creating puppet shows with a friend and performing as a musician with a dragon puppet hanging from the neck of his guitar.
Since then, Caravan Puppets has evolved and grown, adding new members to the team, including Karen Schumer, and refining their performances and workshops to engage, educate, and entertain kids of all ages. Caravan Puppets has become known for its diversity of performances. They regularly perform for diverse audiences in pre-schools, elementary schools, libraries, fairs, civic events, and private parties.
The company has received recognition and awards for its work, including Massachusetts Council For The Arts S.T.A.R.S grants and Jonathan Keezing’s Grinspoon Award For Excellence In Jewish Education.
Caravan Puppets has also participated in notable events such as Japan’s Iida World Puppet Festival, Boston and Northampton’s First Night Celebrations, and Greenfield’s Balloon Festival.
Caravan Puppets is dedicated to empowering children’s creativity through the magic of puppetry. The company continues to create unforgettable performances and workshops that leave a lasting impression on young audiences everywhere.
